Lynton Private Day Nursery – CCTV System Upgrade

Delivering Modern Site Security for Staff, Parents & Children

Lynton Private Day Nursery partnered with Redzvision Security to replace an outdated analogue CCTV system with a modern, high-definition IP surveillance solution designed to improve site security, coverage and reassurance across the nursery setting.

The existing CCTV system had become unreliable and no longer provided the level of protection the site required. Several cameras were no longer functioning correctly, image quality was poor, and important areas including the staff car park had little to no coverage.

This left staff feeling vulnerable and lacking confidence in the effectiveness of the existing security setup, particularly when arriving to and leaving the site.

The nursery required a modern solution that would not only improve visibility and protection across the site, but also restore confidence and reassurance for safety of staff, parents and children.

The Challenge

The original analogue CCTV system was no longer fit for purpose and presented several operational and safeguarding concerns, including:

• Poor image quality across existing cameras
• Multiple cameras no longer functioning
• Limited external coverage
• No monitoring of the staff car park
• Additional internal areas requiring surveillance following site alterations

The client needed a future-proof CCTV system capable of delivering high-quality footage, full site coverage and a far greater sense of safety and security throughout the nursery environment.

The Solution

Following a full site assessment, Redzvision Security designed and installed a modern 10-camera IP CCTV system using a variety of Hikvision ColorVu and DarkFighter turret cameras to provide the highest quality images and full coverage across all areas of the setting.

The upgraded system was specifically designed to:

• Deliver crystal-clear HD image quality
• Improve low-light and night-time visibility
• Provide full monitoring across vulnerable areas
• Enhance safeguarding and overall site security
• Increase staff confidence and reassurance on-site

Two additional cameras were added as part of the installation:

• One overlooking the staff car park
• One monitoring a newly created internal room

To ensure zero disruption to the nursery’s day-to-day operations, the entire installation was completed over a weekend.

The Result

The completed CCTV upgrade transformed the overall security and visibility across the nursery setting.

Staff immediately felt more reassured by the quality, visibility and coverage of the new system, with the upgraded surveillance significantly improving confidence in the safety of both staff and children on-site.

The new IP CCTV system now provides:
